Re: [HOW-TO] Install Metafeeds on Playon!HD mini
Anyone reading this or supporting metafeeds? Having updated firware recently and not had a reply - I'm tempted not to reinstall Hopefully someone will make it work with GUI 2.0 when it arrives - metafeeds is still useful

Re: [HOW-TO] Install Metafeeds on Playon!HD mini
Now metafeeds kinda works on my mini. Could not find youtube at first, but now I can... hope to find more workrounds... And vimeo !!!
My other question is... Can I remove the usb ? Will it make my mini not work anymore, or just the metafeeds...?

Re: [HOW-TO] Install Metafeeds on Playon!HD mini
I have just installed with the "normal" (big Playon!HD) installer. It worked but the CGI scrpts were not installed.
What should I do now? I will reflash the original firmware and hope it will help. Then I will use your "mini" installer.

Re: [HOW-TO] Install Metafeeds on Playon!HD mini
Just installed it over to the latest PV73200_v7.4.6.r3966_European and got two questions: 1) I guess I need to keep my usb stick there forever to have RSS channels working, am I right? 2) When my Mini rebooted I dont see the usbstick anymore. I have to unplug/plug it. How to automatically mount it. How to do it automatically after start? [*] 3) Shouldn't I format the stick on ext2/ext3 for better performance, or is vfat okay? Thanks! [*] - It seems the system cannot see the device. The dev file is not created until I replug: Code: # mount ... /dev/scsi/host2/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 on /tmp/usbmounts/sda1 type vfat (rw,nodiratime,fmask=0000,dmask=0000,codepage=cp437,iocharset=iso8859-1,shortname=winnt,utf8)
# ls /dev/scsi -> nothing
# cannot mount it manually

Re: [HOW-TO] Install Metafeeds on Playon!HD mini
Hi All,
Is there already a script available for installing the metafeeds feature on the Playon!HD mini 2.. ? I tried to execute the script metafeed-install-zane, but it fails the moment the script checks the system type. The script only allows a Realtek Venus device while the mini2 is slightly different: cat cpuinfo system type : Realtek DMP/Jupiter
Is it safe to remove the system type check from the script?
Thanks, Daniel

Re: [HOW-TO] Install Metafeeds on Playon!HD mini
Hi there,
do the Metafeeds also work on the HD mini 2 with the actual GUI 2.0 Firmware?
I tried the installation, found the USB Device (sda1) and installed via Telnet.
But I didn´t find the menu.rss (for the european users) to delete on the USB Stick when I switched it into my computer
After restarting I didn´t find any RSS Files on the menu. When I switched to Internet Media (German Menu Point: Internetmedien) therer were only the regular 15 Apps like Facebook, Youtube, etc.
Would be great if there is a way to use it on the mini2.
