I can confirm with your rev. 3 I've already reported that before...

Mikka, I have the same problem: after copying a file, the PlayOn reboots.

And this doesn't happen with official firmware?

As far as i remember, i manage to copy Optware/RSS packs right after fw installation (from usb to hdd) but then, after install these packages, the problems with the copy began...

Re: PlayOn!X firmware (Optware friendly r4824)
I've tried to reproduce it: 1) Removed Optware/RSS pack + their install files from internal NTFS partition 2) Copy Optware/RSS pack from my computer to USB disk 3) Copy Optware/RSS pack using built-in function from USB to internal NTFS -> OK 4) Install Optware/RSS pack via InfoSite 5) Copy one movie file from USB to internal NTFS -> OK 6) Copy few files from internal NTFS to SD Card -> OK
I'm sorry, but it looks like I can't help you guys. File copy function is built-in into DvdPlayer of which I don't have sources, so it's exactly the same as in official firmware (kawakinho can confirm it). I have no idea why it worked for you in official release and doesn't work in this one. Sorry.

Re: PlayOn!X firmware (Optware friendly r4824)
Ok, Seems i'v found the problem. The issue is with non english folders name. When trying to copy from English folder name to another - its working! When trying to copy from English folder name to non English one - failed! That's the resone that i manage to copy files to hdd root...
Any advise how to make it work with non English folder names?

Re: PlayOn!X firmware (Optware friendly r4824)
I did like you say, created a folder called łódź (so it's with non-English characters) and put few files into it. a) tried to copy this directory from USB to internal NTFS -> OK b) tried to copy this directory from internal NTFS to USB -> OK
Looks like I'm out of luck. If it's really non-English names that are blocking file copy, the only thing which gives me an idea is a different Busybox (and so tools within it). I can't guarantee it will work, but you could try to use original version (1.1.3) to see if it makes any difference.
'Kill DvdPlayer' gets messed up at one point, as I have the same. I remember using it with older version of PlayOn!X, but now it can't properly shutdown DvdPlayer.
This embedded system is very delicate and.. slicky. Someone can think that one file is not needed, but after deleting it and rebooting, he can't boot the system again. Many things are poorly designed (like 32 kB swap file), but removing them can mostly bring you only into the trouble (because something actually uses it).

Thanks Mikka, How can i install this original version? what is the procedure? And how can i revert to current version? BTW - you should try the hebrew characters it might reproduce the problem. Thanks!

When you mentioned Hebrew, I've started to think about font file (the one from kawakinho), so let's wait with Busybox..
Show me those Hebrew folder names which makes PlayOn!HD crashing.
