I'm pretty sure that your DNS address can't be 127.0.0.1, because it's a localhost. If your PC is in the same network as POHD (connects via the same gateway), you can check DNS by executing in command line from Windows:

ipconfig /all

And see what is the correct DNS.

Post Re: Ping error after downloading POD driver to PlayonHD
Hi mikka,

thanks for helping me out!

I changed the dns and standard gateway by typing in what the config/all command line told me: 192.168.0.1

The good news is that I can connect via POD installer to start the services so now I connect to http://192.168.0.102:9090/nzbget/

I get the following message now:
ERROR: NZBGetWeb could not connect to NZBGet-Server.

Possible reasons include:
NZBGet-Server is not running (start);
IP/Port-settings are incorrect. Check config;
Firewall is not properly configured (if nzbget-server and web-interface run on different computer).

Error-message reported by OS: Connection refused (146)

What should I put in the config of nzbget on the web for ServerIP and ServerPort?

Many thanks, I finally have the feeling I can solve it (with some help ;-) )

Are you sure that 192.168.0.1 is IP address for DNS? It looks rather like a gateway.

I'm not using Nzbget (mayble I'll try when I have more time), but did you started the service in POD Installer?

Can you access NZBGet Web Interface?

From what I've read about server IP and port:

Quote:
# IP on which the server listen and which client uses to contact the server.
#
# It could be dns-hostname or ip-address (more effective since does not
# require dns-lookup).
# If you want the server to listen to all interfaces, use "0.0.0.0".
ServerIp=127.0.0.1

# Port which the server & client use (1-65535).
ServerPort=6789

# Password which the server & client use.
ServerPassword=nzb99Default

PS. One more thing: try to ping google (or something like that) directly from POHD, just to check if you really have Internet connection.

Hi Mikka,

I can connect to NZBGET web interface:

I have the following setting now in the config of the web interface:
ServerIp=127.0.0.1
ServerPort=6789
ServerPassword=nzb99Default

Still it doesnt solve the problem: I get this message:
ERROR: NZBGetWeb could not connect to NZBGet-Server.

Possible reasons include:
NZBGet-Server is not running (start);
IP/Port-settings are incorrect. Check config;
Firewall is not properly configured (if nzbget-server and web-interface run on different computer).

Error-message reported by OS: Connection refused

"PS. One more thing: try to ping google (or something like that) directly from POHD, just to check if you really have Internet connection."
--> How do I do this? Can I do the ping from my pc?

thanks again for your help Mikka

No, you have to ping from POHD, just to check if you have a connection. You can use Putty to telnet, and then ping any server, like google or other.

You can download it here: http://www.putty.org/.

When you run putty, just set Connection type to Telnet (port will be automatically changed to 23), enter IP address of your POHD and then click on Open button. You will be asked for login, so enter 'root' and you will be sitting on your POHD, so you can execute commands like 'ping www.google.com' to check if you have any working Internet connection.

Ah thanks Mikka, will do so!

I am able to you use 'internet services' on my POHD. So I can read news feed from CNN via this internet services. So it looks like the POHD has an internet connection right?
