Re: Jukebox won't load + Covers won't show
Hi Greg,
(1) So if it's all about the amount of titles why didn't it hang up before I've put fanart and stuff in each folder but after? What is the maximum amount of titles? Probably a second jukebox with tv series could be a "work" around. But I need to know the amount of files that can be handled by PoHD.
(2) Seems to be a powerfull tool. I used "http://www.heise.de/download/1-4a-rename.html" cause no need for installation and works fine for me. And "http://www.heise.de/download/renamer-1151787.html" for renaming folder names. Well problem is solved.
(3) I use Thumbgen 1.2.10 - Upper left you can select profiles. I selected "ACRyan POHD" Profile and thought that woul do it. Files that I generated are e.g. *.NFO, *.TGMD. Is it possible to use fanart as "backdrop" image?

Re: Jukebox won't load + Covers won't show
It is pretty indeteminate and I suspect it depends on the memory management of the player and the crappy NTFS driver. I don't think we'll ever know but I do know that the player has a limitation of 1000 "Titles" in the Jukebox. Also, if you set up the drive as EXT3 with a Linux swapfile, all the problems seem to go away. Also TV Series are not as consumptive on resources as single movie titles. In Thumbgen, you need to go Options->Input/Output naming Movieexport and select XBMC format from the pulldown. For example I have ~500 movies and ~1500 TV episodes in my Jukebox. All are NFO'd with Thumbgen. You cannot use fanart as the backdrop on the player. Have a look at our YAMJ mpdifications thread for more info. Arvakur wrote: Hi Greg,

My NAS drives are set to ext4.
Thumbgen Options are set as you descibed.

If you do not have any local drives, it will be really easy to improve your performance and reliability by using a USB stick with a Linux swap partition on it, premount mount your NAS drives locally so that the player thinks they are attached USB drives and store the Jukebox(s) on the USB stick. Am 8Gb stick would be plenty. You are using a Mini 2 aren't you? I am also.... I am doing someting very similar and it works like a charm and as I said previously, I have had NO problems since I implemented. Let us know if you need instructions on how to do this. I agree with Greg. I use a similar configuration on the mini 1 and it does work very well. Andy

Re: Jukebox won't load + Covers won't show
I also play a couple of tricks on Thumbgen.
In the options, I set the export cover to $M\$N, overwrite is on and so is preserve aspect ratio.
I set Thumbgen to only write the NFO file, not the TGMD file or any moviesheets.
This gives me the image that I select in Thumbgen at the original size obtained by thumbger (usually 1500 x 1000 pixels) named exactly the same as the video file and the NFO file named the same. So I end up with a directory populated with media files, image files and NFO files all correctly named.
I sometimes then edit the NFO file if YAMJ has any problems with it.
Also, I think you asked about fanart for the backdrop somewhere. This is not possible but if you go with the USB/Linux solution that I outlined, this allows for custom skins and fixes to the internal player YAMJ code.
Andy And I have been working on this for the last month or so and I'll be releasing custom skins, maybe later this week.

Re: Jukebox won't load + Covers won't show
Hi Greg and Andi,
Sounds pretty cool. I didn't get the hole story, just that I have to use a USB Stick in a special format attached to my Mini2 with the jukebox on it and this will increase performance, fix the hang up problem and offers the opertunity for other skins.
I would apreciate a little "HowTo" there might be more questions about the new opportunities like fanart and different skins that are possible due to the process.

Hi Greg, (1) a little HowTo would be nice. (2) Seems that in some *.NFO files in <plot> tag the "ß" is printed as "xE1". I'm using Notepad++. Don't know how that happened, but this seems to cause problems while running YAMJ: [13:49:37 - Thread-2] ERROR com.moviejukebox.scanner.MovieNFOScanner - MovieNFOScanner: Failed parsing NFO file for video: null. Please fix or remove it. [13:49:37 - Thread-2] ERROR com.moviejukebox.scanner.MovieNFOScanner - javax.xml.stream.XMLStreamException: ParseError at [row,col]:[6,499] Message: Invalid byte 2 of 3-byte UTF-8 sequence. I tried to open all NFO file and search for "XE1" but it will not be found. I attached a screenshot. Pretty strange and I don't know how to fix it.

Re: Jukebox won't load + Covers won't show
xE1 is hexadecimal E1 is decimal 225 is the ASCII code for your Ringel-s or beta. If you search for XE1 with a capital X you will not find any occurence. Just do not use German texts. Or replace the Ringel-s by ss, just like you replaced ä by ae.

Or make sure you save the NFO file with UTF-8 encoding. Most decent text editors can do this in the save-as dialogue.
YAMJ is perfectly capable of reading UTF-8 files, but I'm not sure of the effect on the ACR jukebox
