Post NO HTML INDEX FILE
Can't get YAMJ to work on my AC Ryan Playon!HD Mini2 (with external hard-drive).

It worked before, but after several updates the INDEX.HTM is not recognized somehow.

Although the player sees it when you scroll through the file-list!!!

I'm using the latest update of the firmware with YAMJ modifications included (see my signature file).

The index.htm opens fine in a browser on my PC, but NOT on my TV screen, using the Player
Here's the file:

Anyone any ideas?

Interesting one this - one section of the code sees the file and another doesn't
What file system is on your external drive? Is it NTFS? The NTFS driver in the player is a bit flaky and there are some well documented issues in the various firmware threads. Try connecting your disk to a PC and running checkdisk to see if there are any errors.
Also is the hard disk externally powered? it should be as the USB port on the playon does not always supply enough power for a disk
Andy

I agree wholeheartedly with Andy.

I had no end of prblems like this until I formatted my drives as Ext3 (Linux) and any external drive you use should have it's own power supply.

I think a windows-7 PC cannot write to an Ext3 formatted HD, or am I wrong???

But in the past I worked fine this way, I mean reading the jukebox from an NTFS formatted HD.
The index-file is there, as you can see on the second picture. So why can't it be opened???

Thanks Andy.

It's NTFS.
I will try checkdisk and see if it works.

So no problems it seems...

If you are still getting weird problems I wopuld change the file system on the disk first
You are right that native Windows 7 can't write to EXT3, but if you search the forums for EXT3 you will find information on the software you need to make Windows able to handle EXT3
