Hi all,

After a few hours puzzeling and trying to sort everything out I can't seem to fix this.

When I want to start my Jukebox index.htm file, I get an empty screen.

I have updated my YAMJ to the latest version and this time I added some properties e.g. I added a new skin (Redefined 1.8) and I've added the option that my movie description is in Dutch. The rest is intact. I have installed the skin, following the guide and everything worked perfect. YAMJ created my Jukebox as usual and the index.htm shows everything how it's supposed to look like on my computer.

Now i go to the Jukebox on the PlayON HD, and I can find the index.htm file and it asks me if I want to update. I do this and when it finally loads I get the following screen: (see attachment)

How do i solve this so I get thee Jukebox working, with the skin I want to use. I find this strange since it works fine on my computer, but doesn't on my mediaplayer.

Any tips?

skin used: redefined 1.8

1. The custom skin that you are trying to use will not show on the Playon. It uses it's own sking taking data that YAMJ produces. Go back to the original install of YAMJ with the default skin and remove any of the changes that you have made.
2. Make sure that you have read the instructions on setting the parameter mjb.PlayOnHd=true in the moviejukebox.PROPERTIES file which must be in the YAMJ root directory
3. Update your player to firmware 7317.

If you do not do these you have no chances of the jukebox working.

Get this working first and then we can work on the language stuff after that.

Tried updating. The green bar stopped at 1/3rd and didnt move for an hour. Now I can't update it anymore and it doesn't start anymore.

I'd make absolutely sure that I downloaded the right version for the right model and then do a "SAFE MODE" upgrade.

I did. I downloaded it from the official website and did use the safe mode update. It just won't start anymore... I already contacted AC Ryan, but I assume the device is broken now -.-. Bye bye 250 euro you spent on it.

Nah.... Don't give up that easy.... 250 euros is a lot of Heineken !!!

Try a safe update with a firmware earlier than 5440 and see what happens!!!

Also, make sure that your USB stick is formatted FAT32 and try a different stick. Have seen problems there.

Yeah, you're right. I'll do a recovery mode now. See if that works. Then i'll try to update to the latest again and see what happens..

Btw.. are there even skins available for YAMJ for Playon HD?
Also, can you add mjb.PlayOnHd=true anywhere in the properties file or does it need to be at a certain place. I added it to the bottom now

Give that a go and let us know how you get on.

YAMJ: Nope, you are restricted to what the firmware displays. There are some tweaks available for the look/feel of the images within YAMJ but let's get it working first before any of that.

Also, a word from an old hand at this stuff. If you get frustrated, walk away, cool down, have a beer, have a think, post your problems on the forum and try again otherwise you will end up bald.

Yeah, agreed mate. I've been at it all day though, so my patience was tested to the limit just now lol.

It's working so far, not getting my hope's up yet, but at least it's something. Updating worked. And it connects again to my computer. Phew!

Cheers for the help mate, I'll just use the standard version of YAMJ then even though it takes ages to get through my movies. I'll have a look into Thumbgen, i read some good things about that.

I use both YAMJ and Thumbgen....

Thumbgen to create the NFO & JPG files so that I have more control. It will not create a jukebox.

I use YAMJ to create the Jukebox..

On your question on the properties file, it is in the PROPERTIES dir of YAMJ & needs to be modified and shifted to the YAMJ root.
