Hi everyone.

I just flashed to the latest new firmware of the ACRyan and i am trying to get my Yamj to work.
Now everything seems to work but one. I do have my Yamj menu created and i can see al the movie info in Yamj. But when i pres the enter key to play a movie it says: no video files available...

Does anyone know what i'm doing wromg?

my set up:

Movie->DVDs->movie_name->movie_name.iso

I created .nfo files for al the movies to get the correct info.

I used: YAMJ GUI Config (ACR) v1.0.3
Yamj 2.3
And firmware: [BETA] ACR-PV73100 v7.4.x.r2115 Playon!HD

Hmm the cause seemed to be the dvd's name. Changed it to dvds and now it works...

There are also reported issues with .iso files - do you get the same problems with other formats such as avi or mkv?

I bought the ACRyan Playon!HD in December 2010. Flashed the the latest firmware and installed Yamj 2.3 and Yamj Gui Config 1.03. With little trouble and with information from this board I got everything working fine.

Now I have flashed firmware: [BETA] ACR-PV73100 v7.4.x.r2115, and exept for the few already at the release announced shortcomings, everything seems to work fine. At least: the network function appears to be unstable. Where I before could use a share to the HDD of the Playon on my computer without problems, I now frequently loose this connection. Well, others have reported this. The GUI 2.0 looks beautiful, and I can play every movie from the Playon!HD menu.

But I have problems with Yamj, where I did not encounter them before. When I start the Jukebox, all thumbnails of all movies are displayed properly. But ... for about 25% of the movies I get the moviepage with all movieinformation displayed without the cover image. And when I click "play movie", I get the message "no video file".

I had changed nothing on the machine, except the flashing of the beta firmware. So I removed all the Yamj information on the HDD and reindexed everything anew. But I had the same problems with the same movies.

Then I started looking at the movies which gave problems and tried to find a common factor. There seems to be none. The (in Yamj) non-displaying movies have nothing in common. Not same filetype. Not same number of parts. Etc.

Has anyone encountered this too, and found a solution?

The Jukebox implementation in the new beta firmware is far from perfect - the categories are missing and it has problems playing some .iso files, to name but a few.
You problems may be due to the new firmware - have you tried going back to your old stable firmware?

Thanks for your reply. No, I did not try to go back yet. I will when I don't find out what the trouble is. But first I want to know what is going wrong here. Might help for the next release. Anyway, I can play all movies (avi, mp4, iso, video_ts, mkv) through the Playon menu without problems.

By the way, when I use my computer with the Playon connected to it through USB, and then open the Index file on the Playon and navigate from there to the pages of the movies, everything is displayed correctly in the browser. Probably the browser of the Playon does not interprete the generated files as it did before.

Hi,

Did a roll back to previous FW for a test. All problems gone! Yamj worked as it should with the index that was generated with the new beta firmware installed.

Two notes:
- After rollback I encountered the same network (wired) problems as with the GUI 2.0. But this was solved after setting NAS mode to "on". Missed this in the setup of the GUI 2.0. Maybe I did not look good enough?

- In the settings of the older stable firmware, there is a setting (under the header "System") for textcoding. Default it says "Unicode(UTF8)". I missed or overlooked this setting in the GUI 2.0 too. Maybe that's the problem?

P.S. With Yamj under GUI 2.0 I had no problem with playing .iso files. I tested them again. Had problems with .iso in the older stable version, but this was solved by adding "mjb.PlayOnHD=true" in moviejukebox.properties. Like is mentioned elsewhere on this board. Problems did not return with GUI 2.0

I have similar issues. All worked fine until I upgraded to the latest GUI 2.0 (EU version). I'm seeing many issues now, with covers not showing in the movie view, the "no video file" problem, keystrokes being read twice so you miss the movie you want to select, overall slow response...

summary: it is not Wife Proof so I'll try reverting to previous GUI. Too bad because it certainly looks nice, but it's gotta be practical as well.

Are the ACRYAN Mini HD2's any faster? Apart from the bugs, it could use a faster CPU as well. Unfortunately there's no 'top' installed on the linux distro, can't see what the load is or if there's a CPU hog.

Well I got the same problem. I have been on this for days, and rebuilt the jukebox a millioen times but I can't seem to get it to work.

It are MKV formats and every movie is given me no video files found or availeble.

I tried building the jukebox from my pc, and from inside the player, not succed.

The movies itself are in maps, and single movies but nothing will work.

Anyone any ideas?
