Re: YAMJ will it work for me?
As Duivels has said, our resident Mini/YAMJ expert is on holidays but I think I can be of some assistance.I have the HD Mini its about two years old.
I have all my movies on external hard drives which are connected via USB to my NAS (DISKSTATION) could i run yamj so it can see all my movies on my external drives?
You should be able to but it will require some fine tuning of your Mini with a swapfile and mountpoints for you NAS on the Mini. This will require some Linux effort on your part. If you do not fine tune it, memory constraints will cause it to be unreliable. And could it be all in one YAMJ index directory for me to scroll through and play.
I have about 6 HDs connected to my nas.
It would depend on the amount of content on the drives. There are limitations on the number of titles that can be maintained on the Mini after optimisation, ~1000 single movie titles or ~500 TV Series.
It is quite a simple affair to set up multiple jukeboxes and change between themI suggest that you have a read through this topic
http://www.acryan.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=95&t=19190 where I went through the optimisation process on the Mini 2 and the process is similar for the MIni.
Hope this helps.
