Hi....

My Playonhd arrived this month... I ordered the Playonhd from the http://www.playonhd.com/en/ online store... it was sent from ACRYans Singapore Office via fedex and arrived within 4 days.... Fantastic

Thankyou very very much to ACRyan for such excellent service, smooth purchasing, very fast delivery at a great price and with FedEx...

I have put a 1.5TB HDD in, loaded up all my movies (various formats), music, photos, family videos... and it is absolutely awesome, sooooo easy and plays everything without a hitch..

If your thinking of grabbing one of these media players, I can vouch for them... the best I have seen and I have checked out a few.

Thanks again ACRyan

Cheers
Dan

Hi Daniel,

Like to know, is the power adapter an AUS plug or a SGP three-pin plug?

Thanks..

Hey there,

Signing in as another very happy (new) customer.

Its GREAT to have finally found a media players that manages to get everything right! So many players out there seem to only achieve about 75% of must-have features. The PlayonHD! hits them all (for me at least.

I got mine from http://www.ascent.co.nz without a HDD. JB-HIFI were selling 2TB External Seagate drives for $299. So I nabbed one of those and stripped the casing off to get to the HDD inside. It works fine. reports as 2TB and shows free space correctly. (I'll update this post with the correct drive model number later today)

Some tips for new buyers:
If you buy a 3rd party HDD, let the playonHD! format it itself after you have isntalled it.
Upgrade the firmware using a usb stick formatted as fat32 (fat or fat16 is not the same, it must be fat32)
When installing the SAMBA and btpd clients the usb stick must also be formatted as fat32.
Set HDMI to auto (if you are using it), some videos failed to show full screen if it fixed it to 1080p60Hz
Check the screen sizing, by default mine seemed to be about 15mm short on each edge of the TV.
Hook it up to your network! (uploading files via SAMBA is easier than unplugging it!)

Thanks to AC Ryan for making such an awesome player!

Z.

Hello Dan,

I've just bought mine yesterday from PB Tech. Am very happy with it so far.

Question: Can I just copy my media files and folders and sub folders across to it or does it have to be just one folder only?

I currently have set up three folders: music, photos, video.

Do all the songs have to be in the one 'music' folder? My computer's music folder is made up of lots of sub sub folders. It would be great if I could just copy this whole bunch across in one "copy and save" action.

Thanks.
