Post Very slow reaction on controls
Hello,
I can't be sure when it happened maybe since the last update.
But I guess some later.
When I want to play a video I have to wait more then minute before it starts.
Moreover , to stop, to pause, to start again , all actions are taking also the same long time.

Can anybody give a hint what can I do. It is terribly annoying.

Hey APRESTO,

Is the scanning feature by any chance enabled in your set-up? This can make the player a lot slower. If so, turn it off and see if it improves. Re-installing the firmware can't hurt either. Using an older (e.g. 4824 with GUI1) or alternative firmware usually makes the Mini more responsive as well. GUI2 needs a lot of resources... :(

No, the scan stands on Auto scan off.
And I have the last firmware installed right today.

No advise and no changes here.

The new problem now some files are playing without sound.
Is there a way to update codecs or something like that?

Give the 4824 firmware with GUI1 a shot. No, it's not pretty but in most cases it gets the job (playing audio and video) done. There are no codecs as such in the Mini, the chip inside decodes everything. If the chip cannot handle a certain video or audio codec you're usually out of luck. Firmware updates can only fix smaller container problems, such as stripped headers with MKV files.

GUI2 made things different... Sure, it looks better but under the hood it's not that great. At least not for a NETWORK player. If you like 4824 maybe the alternative firmwares (Other Developments) might be just the thing for you.
