Post Requests/Improvements for the std. Video File Player
Hi,

first, the standard video file player is doing a great job.
Anyhow, I would like to see some improvements if possible.

1)Hitting the "Enter" key on the remote pauses/plays the file. --Nice--
Why have the other direction keys on the remote no function?
Arrow right --> fast forward
Arrow left --> rewind
Arrow up i,e, change zoom or at least change zoom mode (letter box or not)
Arrow down ??

2)While playing a file
The transportation functions at the bottom are good readable even at 5m distance on a 42inch screen.
The file information at the top of the screen as well.
The time information at the bottom (time played, total time) are absolute unreadable.
There is enough place to show that numbers bigger.

3)Context menue
For some movie the screen zoom has to be changed i.e. to letter box.
This can only be done by pausing the movie, going to home screen, changing and then returning to the movie.
Would be nice to have that function in the contect menue (or, as mentioned before, by the direction
keys on the remote).

Nice weekend

Theo

Hi Theo,

I agree with you. These are really usefull improvements that I also miss. Especially the idea with the arrowkeys is great. I am also missing the media player buttons like ffwd, rew etc. on the remote control.

Hueseyin

Don't think you need to pause the movie. Once you press home button, the movie will automatically stop. When you need to playback the same movie, you have to go to file manager, choose it again from list and select resume. Any shortcut for this that I'm not aware of? I find that this process is too long. Thanks.

Hi,

if you do it your way, it throws you back to the home screen and as you wrote correctly, you have
to reselect the movie (which takes some time, I have >2000 movies).

Simply press the "Enter" key at the remote, that will pause/continue the movie.
(enough time for a pee brake :D )

When I push "Enter" on the veolo remote, the standard "video player" pauses the movie.
The left arrow rewinds and the right arrow forwards the movie. But first it shows in the bottom line the position it will jump to. The jump-process is initiated via the "enter"-button ---nice!---

Indeed the player works like what you have all mentioned :D We just need to assign few more on the available buttons on the remote. Requests already sent.
