Solution for use of Movies, Music, Photo menu items with NAS
Dear AC Ryan staff,
I have connected my Playon!HD Mini2 to a Synology NAS. The menu items (Movies, Music, Photo) in het main menu are not working with the NAS. Therefore I have created several shortcuts for the connection between the NAS and the Playon!HD Mini2 in the shortcut menu.
As it is possible to create shortcuts in the shortcut menu, can you please let me know if it is also possible to provide a way to edit the location for the three main menu items? This would mean to add the functionality of adding and editing shortcuts in the main menu. First step would be to select the protocol (e.g. NFS) and next step would be to fill in the IP address of the NAS and the NFS path (just like the way the shortcuts are generated).
Maybe you can provide a solution in the next firmware release. Thanks in advance for your reaction.

The indexing (scan) function is only working for the internal hard disk and attached USB memory devices, not for network memory devices. You can mount your NAS as an internal drive. Look here.

I deleted your other post with the same text, because cross posting is not allowed.
