Although they might not be officially supported, they are used by a LOT of people (e.g. for metafeeds / internet video streaming)! My 'educated' guess is that a lot of people stick to SDK2 just for that reason.
Please be aware that this demotes the POHD for (potentially) new users/buyers as well!
best regards - Thijs Sorry m8 you have to ask the developers of that tools to fix there scripts/installer to make this work.

Personally I think it's not a great deal that some people are 'confused', thinking they have a real clock. It's more important that even if it is not a "real clock" you could at least synchronize it in an easy way ... just my 0.02 cents PS: by the way, you keep saying that time is lost after 'full power shutdown', but even in standby the clock loses date/time !! So the unit is still powered on in a way and should preserve date/time ...

It is the same as all SDK3.X platform requires, please update your PV73100 to r3582 before proceeding to update with this firmware.
Example, from r2901, you need to first update it to r3582 before proceeding to r4368.
For those, already on r4090 or r3582, you could directly update to r4368.
We strongly recommend users to perform System Update instead of Safe Mode Reflash.
big problem: i´ve updated from r3400 to r4090. now its broken. bootscreen freezes. can´t install any other firmwareversions

Safe-Mode Reflash 1.Download the latest firmware from our download section or our latest beta version from our forums. 2.Unzip your downloaded zips onto an empty USB stick. Make sure that the files within the zips are unzipped within the root of the USB stick. 3.Disconnect the power cable from the Playon!HD. 4.Put your USB stick into one of the USB ports of the Playon!HD. 5.Push the power button and hold it pushed. 6.Connect your power cable again. 7.Hold the power button pushed until you get a screen which says that the firmware is updating. 8.Do not release the power button between the time of connecting the power cable and the appearing of the screen. 9.After firmware update the Playon!HD will reboot itself, and you're done.

 Re: [BETA - SDK3.X] PV73100 v7.3.X.r4368 POHD
So if I make a file on my computer and move it to the POHD, what creation-date will it get? 'None' ? Or will it retain the date set on my computer?
What dates will the files get we download through the BT-client?
Are the BT-client settings set back to default when updating from 4090 to this firmware? (read: maxpeers settings)

If you don't set the date/time yourself before creating files (either by copying or downloading with BT), it will get some fantasy date from the POHD ... might be in the past, might be in the future.

Time and date not remembered after full power shutdown <--- Time is gone (Feature, not a bug)04. Mkv certain type does not work <--- Seems solved 09. Subs are grey instead of white <--- Seems solved (with a nice outline and shadow)16. Browsing thru the internal hdd can make the device crash <---Seems solved
