Unit is working fine after the "downgrade", i'm not in panic because of errors. I downgraded the unit many times the past weeks, just noticed the bootloader ver. steady at the mentioned one the last week. But besides the question "no need to" / "need to": can it be done? or is replacing(/updating) the bootloader a "oneway ticket"?

Also I am not aware of any bootloader downgrade possibility, but usually this does not make sense. My advice: use SDK2 v7.0.6r3875. The r4318 is also possible and fixes some Internet radio issues. Just skip SDK3 releases and wait for the SDK4 to come. This new SDK4 release will first fix audio issues, but its stability needs to be tested.

[Stupid question mode] Is this the latest stable release? [/Stupid question mode]
The forum is getting a bit cluttered with all of the different firmware versions. Maybe it's a good idea to create one page per device where the latest BETA and latest Stable fw release can be downloaded...

Wich can result in a invalid file error

About 90% of the movies on my Playon are MKV does this mean I can't play any of them?

Not sure if anybody has posted this yet on this firmware version but I can no longer see my PlayON!HD on my network anymore. I can however log onto my desktop computer but I can't see the player in my network.
