Give the team the time to debug merge and recode the firmware to see if thats the case That's exactly what i mean, such an anouncement should have come from Junwei or Eugene. THEY are the ones who should communicate to us. Now there is no indication of a timeframe They atleast could release a FW with new GUI improvements. I gues it's another not kept promise I did get a private message from Junwei concerning my request/post. I gave him additional information and i should now get a reply in max. 3 workdays. He is going to take it up with development and technical staff. It has to do with the new SDK coming up so: fingers crossed....

Okay, I have to agree with your thoughts, TifKag.
Such announcements should come from us instead of the moderators. That's I'm here to say this... However, I was communicating with Kraakie via MSN earlier on. Explaining the delay and stuffs...
It is true, the new firmware release will be delayed for this week. As usual, Eugene and dev team couldn't give me the exact release date of this upcoming firmware that has the bug fixes.
I do notice that the Hebrew language isn't working the correct way, and the Info given from Audio and Video seems to be invert instead of the correct info given.
Internet Radio fix = the new API 2.0 from Shoutcast will only query the top 500 Stations under the Station option. It will not query all stations like previous API code. This is something we need to re-adjust. Some API codes has been removed totally from the API source which is totally different from the previous API source. Therefore, they are re-exploring the new codes to have a better query system. The favourite option should be working properly. Should you encounter any issues, please try to safe mode reflash if you perform system upgrade via setup menu.
Differences is setup menu only updates the core system, while safe-mode reflash, overwrites all the existing files in the ROM and the system files on the system partition of your hard drive.
Whenever Realtek release a new SDK, it would take the dev team at least 2 to 4 weeks to merge, re-compile to our platform. It is not a instant process whereby you could just update the SDK by over-writing the SDK with the new SDK. It has to be unpack, tear-down into modules, add codes & GUI and repack and compile/compress it into the firmware. Something that Eugene was explaining to me but somehow I still don't get it.
All and all, I here to say 'Sorry. The deadline has to be postponed again.' I still hope that Eugene could drop me a email that the firmware is ready and has been uploaded into our file server and ready to roll out on our forum.
Lastly, 2x please bear with us, 1 from me - 1 from Eugene.
J.

J. Better a couple of weeks delay and a almost bugfree fw then a fast release and a buggy firmware

J. So when did the dev team get the new sdk? At least it would give us some understanding of when to expect a new firmware release. It would be nice to have regular updates\info on the development progress. Also, what are the chances of having two firmwares; A basic one for playing media and one with all the glitter and pretty things like JAMJ. I don't want or need YAMJ but I do want a media player that works properly. The menu system may be bland but it does the job. Cheers. A.V.

Congratulations to A. C. Ryan. You are once again proves your incompetence. You do and say everything possible to procrastinate time. It was clear that today there will be no new firmware. It's usual for A.C.Ryan! Thank you for your **cking honest service! And... Be positive!

At least you have a team that communicates with you try owning a PBO ! Our last update at all was May 17 and it didnt do much. These guys work hard to give you the best that they can and all I hear are complaints. Does everyone moan if they dont get a new firmware for their phone or television on a monthly basis? Just my 2 cents worth. Props to the team for the effort that they do give, it isnt easy!
