So i am praying this newer firmware fixes this issue at least for me ? corky: if you press tv-sys on the left upper side from your remote controle you got still the problem? try if possible to disable hdmi-cec or somehting simulair on your sony tv

Re: [BETA] PV73100 r4318 firmware **POHD**
As a new AC Ryan customer from the US, I would also like to extend my gratitude (For what it's worth) to the staff and community here, it is quite good in the respect of communication and teamwork. It is always nice to know where we the customer stands and where the development of the product we purchased is at currently, or to be able to get help and not a sarcastic comment instead. This is what I have found here so far and also a feeling of excitement in the members with the product. Having said that and having read the firmware update, I must say I am pleasantly surprised with the progress. The AC Ryan already functions quite well for me at this price point and I am having a bit of fun with it already. I think after this next update, all I will need is a bib to catch the drool.

But up to 1080i all was fine, but i did'nt want it set lower as the blueray films then play at that lower resolution as well. And in hdmi auto it goes to 1080p. Thanks. Hi kraakie, i don't think i have seen that option on my tv, but will check later. I did notice that changing one of my tv settings which is full pixel to normal got rid of it, but only because the screen resolution got slightly bigger in size, thus pushing the green line out of sight. But i normally have full pixel on for all my other hdmi devices and at 1080p they are fine. ? Thanks

Thanks for the update kraakie and junwei. I have couple of questions if you dont mind .. kraakie wrote: Got a changelog so you can see how the progress is going for the upcoming fw. 08) Add Dolby TrueHD downmix and Passthrough (Licensed for C+ board) 09) Add Dolby Digital Plus downmix (Licensed for C+ board)
We know that non C+ POHD will never get HD-Audio passthrough, but does the licensing mention above imply that they wont be getting TrueHD/DD+ downmix either because its only licensed for the C+ boards ?! junwei wrote: the issue we faced was the bootloader...
The firmware that was released internally will work with C+ chipset with the new bootloader based on new SDK 3.X. The firmware will not work correctly with Non C+ chipset therefore the team is now re-compiling the firmware.
Does that mean you are going to release two firmwares ? a version for the Non C POHD and another for the C+ equipped POHD ?

Have you tried using a higher quality cable and changing the HDMI port on your TV as well ?

Have you tried using a higher quality cable and changing the HDMI port on your TV as well ? Shouldn't make a difference, there's a signal, or there's no signal, not a bad signal. You don't want to set it at 720p or 1080i. Are you sitting less than 3 feet away from the screen with an less than 50 inch tv? No? Than it would be quiet an accomplishment to see the difference with 1080p. Yes? Than i haven't said a thing.

Have you tried using a higher quality cable and changing the HDMI port on your TV as well ? Hi, no i haven't tried another input, i will try that later. As for the cable, well i don't have any other cables really. I personally don't believe the higher quality cables are any different to the cheaper cables anyway. I remember seeing a program about it on tv, they compared a £10 cable to a £100 cable, no difference at all. It is only digital data passing through the cable (0's and 1's). Analog cables yes, big difference. Thanks anyway

What i meant was as i have 1080p mkv films, i want to watch them in that screen mode, as it is the native resolution of my tv anyway. I am sitting about 8 - 9 feet away from a 40" tv.
