I return to last official version.

Try disabling auto text encoding under Setup || System.

That module from Realtek isn't working properly and has been reported to Realtek already.

J.

I'll try that later.
Thanks,

Sometimes I do see a green video cam looking icon on the top right of the screen. Disappears after a while but ocassionally comes back (in some movies). What causes that?

Got my internet connection working on the new firmware, tried to stream
a radio station which worked. After disconnecting (via the return button)
the complete system was hanging.

I had to disconnect the power plug to reset the system.

it let`s you know when there are different camera angles.
so pressing the "angle" button gives you an other view on the movie for the same shot.

to switch this of see the setup page i believe under the video settings.

;)

Known issues with the BT client and as well as SAMBA, might be the reason why media playback over network shutters badly (files with high bitrate rite). These issues has been reported to Realtek previously and it's beyond our coding as the modules are under Realtek's care.

Modules such as Auto Detect Encoding, DvdPlayer (mainly misalignment of the DVD menu), HDMI audio issues (such as no audio carried over using HDMI cable), BT / SAMBA (resource hogging issues), HDMI video issues on certain brand/models and as well as Subtitle (not pure white in color) are under Realtek care. These issues has been reported to Realtek over the past few BETA firmwares that we release for Beta testing. Of cause E was the only portal between us to Realtek and sad to say, he's away at the production line till next week which I couldn't reach him the same way as we did in office (he's sitting directly in front of my desk, which I'm used to Holler him for escalation and solutions/workarounds)

E has mentioned to me that the processor should be able to take up to [40 Mbit bitrate = need to recheck it with E again, as it was from MSN logs which the logs are still in office], anything high may need to take frame references, etc into consideration.

For those who have issues with media playback over Network, do me a flavor.

Post your MediaInfo of the video you're playing, your Setup (either Wireless or Wired) and Firmware version you're running on your POHD or Mini on the following thread.

viewtopic.php?f=42&t=2971

If you encounter issues like you could play this on other firmware version instead of the recent firmware release, please note them down as well. So I could go some referrences as well as documentation so E could get the Dev Team to check and fix it if the cause lies on our coding. Else definitily we have to escalate to Realtek (if the codes belongs to their care instead).

Lastly, bear with me, I'm trying my best to get info documented down so we could get it fixed.

J.
