When pausing your video files for more than a few minutes it seems to lock up the PlayonHD and you a forced to do a hard reboot ie pulling the plug out.
I also noticed this in the last firmware release.
can anyone tell me what the problem is?? i have no issues with this. i remember pausing a video for more than 15mins and play the movie again without any issue. OK so the pausing issue becomes more apparent when you have the Playon HD turned on for a few days then you notice a general slow down, for example when the default screensaver comes on you can see it moving in slow motion like it's lagging something chronic, then you pause video files for a few mins and probably 7 out of 10 times it locks up. at the moment i have rebooted today and left it running for half a day and the screen saver is jittering around the screen in slow motion??

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73100_v7.4.x.r7317
I installed 7317 yesterday. GUI 2.0 is still sluggish but i'm used to it by now. Audio is functioning all right. Every .mkv file has audio wiff passthru enabled. Sometimes when i press shutdown it reboots the pohd?? Network speed is still the same , around 3 MB/s and finally the networkshortcut is fixed when saved on the player. On the old version it just disappeared. I like the new shortcut option on top of the menu. I don't care what name it is

Select the folder or file with the File Manager etc., press the menu button of your remote and select Add Shortcut .

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73100_v7.4.x.r7317
Just tried to do a firmware update to 7317 (downloaded today). I updated from 3643. I used "safe mode", and I waited for the Playon to say it had finished the upgrade and restarted. Unfortunately it never gets past the starting up screen (the one that says Playon HD that's not HD). I've tried restarting again, but it just locks-up at that point.
Any ideas?

Obviously you did not install 3582 first as I recommended and is also stated in the ReadMe files that come with the firmware ZIP files. 3582 installs a new bootloader that is required by the later firmware releases. Try this recovery procedure .

It is so obscure that I found it within 30 seconds, although it was not documented anywhere.
