@Lucifer I think you misunderstood Macp. He meant the USB ports of the PC, not of the Playon. For him a USB port on the front side of his PC did not work with the Playon, but a USB port on the back side of the PC did work.

The front USB ports on all PCs are usually low spec for things like mem sticks and the rear ones USB 2.0 or 3.00 for devices like a USB HDD, Printer, PlayOn or Camera

If I read the change log right, this firmware update does not solve the problem I reported in this post: viewtopic.php?f=42&t=15134. Is that right? If so, when will it be solved?

I feed my POHD to a Philips Home Cinema system. Originally I used the coax connection but for over six months now I use an optical connection through an optical selector switch to a optical to coax converter to the Home Cinema. I've never experienced a problem with DTS 6ch on any POHD release (lots of other problems though ) It does not apply to your setup but the reason I have to feed audio through the complicated path and not just via HDMI is my Samsung TV down converts any multi-channel HDMI audio (DD or DTS) to 2-channel to output on its optical port. This is documented in the TV instructions so it is not a fault. I post this just in case anyone else is surprised by their equipment downconverting their audio.

 Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73100_v7.4.x.r5440
After trying r5440 for about two weeks, I decided to rollback to r4318. I thought I could live with the unstable NAS issues but a bigger problem started to develop a few days ago. The starting up time was getting longer as the HDD was getting longer to show up in the menu. I decided to do a Chkdsk via USB and to my horror many files were found corrupted, which I had never experience before. I suspect that it was due to many instances of NAS cutting off abruptly during my file transfer operations. I hope the NAS problem would be fixed ASAP as I do prefer the new GUI.

NAS and BT are very unstable. Everytime i copy something over the network the player freezes. Only a shutdown helps then. Menu is still laggy. Downloading more than 1 torrent freezes the player. Downloading above 10 Mbit also causes the player to freeze. I want to roll back to the f/w that had the extension pack but i don't know which f/w that was? At least that one was stable.
