Van't find anything about the purpose of the scanning etc. I know how to get to settings and change the default language, the question was a dutch manual about the new firmware. I can get in the subtitle menu too when playing a movie, it just doesn't remember my settings.

Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73100_v7.4.x.r3966 Nice manual, BUT......srt subtitles size and position are not saved, and you have to set them everytime.(In previous FW (up to r4824) it saved your last postion and size) So....it.s a bug  And it is logical you can't change DVD subs (You never could do that in previous FW)

Re: [Official] Firmware_PV73100_v7.4.x.r3966 after upgrading my (dd) player started to tell me i had to format the HDD. With the first version of this firmware that only happened after the reboot when you tried to shut the player down with the remote and it came back on. After the upgrade to the second version of this firmware it doesnt see the harddrive anymore and i can't use the player. I tried to upgrade again, both (multiple times) the safe mode as upgrade through the menu but it doesnt help.
Going to try going back to previous versions, hopefully i dont loose the 1.5TB data.
(btw, harddrive can be accessed via usb perfectly, check disk doesnt show errors either.).
