I having problems accessing playonhd over network after applying this 4824 firmware. Is there a way to go back to 3582 firmware.

Succumbed to my curiosity and installed this firmware on my Po!HD 73100 P+, and so far i havent experienced any issues. One new feature i found was the "Screen Size" setting, where one can adjust the screen, im curious should i adjust it so that the red lines are barely invisible or fully visible? I set it up so that they are just outside the screen(using Composite to connect to a Thomson 32WR100 CRT TV), and with this setting i no longer have to use the zoom feature of my CRT, it's standard 16:9 mode looks great, but i have a feeling i might be missing information on the outer edges of the image. Any documentation or usage tips for the screen size setting when using Composite?

newbie who just updated to fw 4824 (from fw 3875). can any expert share what is this "Screen Size" setting option and how to properly adjust this setting ? I'm using HDMI connection to a full HD LCD tv.

just enter the feature, and use the arrows to adjust the picture to your screensize (red and yellow bars)

but what is this feature for?

I've known it was there since, well, forever, but I have never really understood its purpose.

It isn't for the main video output so is it for the menu\GUI?

Or is it for photo viewing?

A.V.

P.S. I know it's off topic and not directly related to firmware but I thought I'd ask here anyway.

Thanks for the latest release. I liked though I have two items that I want the team to be aware of so they can make sure it is fixed on the next release...

- NAS is stuffed up. Drops off the network. Not sure if its after of couple of hours. I just noticed it because I lost access to my network drives when I was trying to retrieve a file. I have no other choice but to turn off and on my player but doesnt really makes sense doing it all the time, does it? -- Just to correct myself, it NAS dropped off while I had BT running at the same time. I tested it again overnight without Torrent running and NAS didnt drop off but the other issue (below) still exists.

- Still to do with NAS. It doesnt pick up my USB (external drive) when I turn on my playonHD. It use to do it when I was on r4090 but now it doesnt. As a workaround, I still have to goto setup > Network > NAS then select on again even if it is already turned on. I just have to do it again so my external drive via USB comes up and accessible again.

- To add, I have also noticed that the NAS ON is not popping up anymore. I use to see this on previous FW together with USB ON, HDD ON, etc then NAS ON as an indiccator POHD have detected the devices and turned on the NAS... maybe it is why its not working as before?????
Any thoughts or possibly work around I can do so I dont have to shutdown my playonHD each time and run NAS so often just to get my external drives onthe network?

Neil please try and run the reg file again ,
also check the network settings on Playon and PC ...
normally you should see the Playon from your PC and vise versa .

Kind Regards,

Reficul
