Hi

My Playon which was working well for 6 months now hangs at the startup splash screen.

I suspect it is a hardware failure - how can I get support?

I suspect you have the Playon!HD Mini2? Try to safe-mode flash the latest firmware with a USB-stick that is formatted to FAT32.

Safe-Mode method (*recommended!):
1. Download and extract the .zip file into the root folder of a USB-stick. Make sure the USB-stick is formatted to FAT32.
2. Insert the USB-stick to your player.
3. Shutdown the player.
4. Press and hold down the power button in front of the player for 15 seconds.
5. Your player will restart and install the new firmware.

I always get this problem on and off. Normally at the interval of a couple weeks to couple of months. A firmware reflash will fix it. Hence, I always stand by a USB thumb drive to flash again. Happens to me 3 times already. These are some of the problem we need to live with....
