Hi,

sorry for this to happen. It didn't happen before on your device i assume? Can you try to revert back to the initial firmware we just posted here as well on the forums to check if it's the same.
If it still happens please contact support directly. You have our details here depending on where you are from:

br,

I re-flashed the new fw twice, the symptom repeatable.
I have no problem for both the factory loaded fw and un-official fw, 725? Before upgrading.
I will try to revert back tomorrow to confirm.

I upgraded my 752 to 849 last night. Seems ok.

Boot up launcher screen seems to appear earlier.

My NAS finally appear in the default File Browser! I guess the improved samba helped.

Now I hope for hd flash support during browser using in YouTube.

A quick question, can I upgrade the fw using SD card? Or it must be on USB?
Do I need to remove any external USB hard disk or keyboard fr the USB port before I perform the upgrading? Thanks.

You can use the sd card if it's FAT32 formatted. You don't need to unplug existing devices.

Hi Arne,
Need some advise.
I use SD card to upgrade the fw.
I notice if I use method 1 to perform the reflashing, when I select SD/USB follow by the drive letter, it will give me a message telling me no new fw code found. (can't recall the actual message), and the unit will not proceed to perform upgrading. But when the next power up of the unit (SD card still in the slot), it will continue reading the card and start loading and upgrading the unit to 849 fw.
I don't face this problem with 725 or factory initial fw. Thanks

Have just tried this here again and it finds the upgrade and on confirming it reboots to initiate the upgrade process.
I suggest you re-format the SD Card to FAT32 one more time and extract the r849 update onto it. Eventually re-download the firmware from our website.
Might be that the player didn't recognize the SD Card properly and than it needed a reboot for that to happen.
Hope you can re-check this again.

best regards,

Hi Arne,

Thanks.
I used the same SD card to perform the upgrading.
I re-format the card each time I try loading diff fw. So the card should be ok.
Ok, I manage to see and upgrade the fw to 849 only when I perform 2x of upgrading. Meaning I let the unit reboot and detect the fw when it failed to detect it. Then I perform upgrading again to the same fw 849. This time the unit able to detect it without any rebooting.
I will try and see will the unit auto shutdown after 15 to 20 mins. Thanks.
