Post Stuttering
When playing files on my 100Hz Philips TV, the files don't play 'smooth'.'At some parts, the video seems to stutter a bit. HD Natural motion and 100Hz is turned on on the TV.
It's most noticable on movies like Planet Earth and Home (documentaries).

Is this a TV issue or a Playon!hd issue. FYI, the Xtreamer has the same issue on the tv.

Stuttering can have many causes therefore can you be more specific as to the scenes (timestamps) that show stuttering?
I have this documentary too and can easily check on a dedicated Blu Ray player whether or not it stutters.
I believe this series were shot in 30fps - this might already be one of the potential causes.

According to my nephew the PlayOn!HD plays of media with 24.000 fps instead of the 23.976 fps it is supposed to be.

Format settings, ReFrames : 4 frames
Frame rate : 23.976 fps

Hi there Negaiido,

i had in the past some samsung tv's 100hz full hd that they were experiencing the same problem,
to be specific when you were watching hd movies either from pc , playstation3 or bluray player in some fast scenes you could see the picture breaking to pieces for seconds but not the whole picture or video or scene only the part of the video it was going fast

ex. Chronicles of riddick : the scene were the Necro General was haunting the black actor you could see that his legs were breaking into pieces
ex.Fast and the furious : car chase the background was ok but the car was breaking up into smaller pieces for miliseconds
ex.Matrix3.mkv during the highway chase the truck that the keymaster was on top was ok but the background was really messy and breaking

after a while it was really annoying watching

there were 2 major causes for that problem :
Video display error of the screen
or the movie was upscaled to fullhd and the frames arent what they supposed to be

i hope this post helped you

Reficul

According to admins of the forum of xtreamer the 1080P 24P is buggy and doesn't work really good just yet. The 24p should be 23.976. Most movies use that amount of fps and some do use 24p. I hope you can help me with that.
