I've been trying to get the network up and running but it doesn't seem to work. I'm using a N adapter with the realtek chipset. When browsing the wireless setup, the status of the network is "On : DHCP Not ready!!". even though I do have the dhcp server enabled on the router. Also the testing connection phase is going really fast, it probably failed.

I've notice that there is another topic like this one on the forum but that one was of the PlayOn!DVR and the things they said in there didn't help me

please check the following to make sure its not the adapters fault

1.use the adapter to another device or pc
2.check a different adapter with PlayOn!HD device
3.set router and Playon settings to DHCP auto

Restart your router and after the router sychronises boot up the Playon!HD to check for conectivity

i could think 3 posibilites is either a faulty adapter ,router problem or compatibility issue between the device the router and the adapter ..either way

check it and tell us how it goes !!

1. I am using the RTL8191S WLAN Adapter which was with an xtreamer. When I connect it to my PC it doesn't seem to work and asks for a driver. I can't find that driver on the net

2. Will try that but it was working for the xtreamer so I find it strange that it doesn't work for the PlayOn!HD since they use the same chipset.

3. What do you mean with DHCP Auto? I'm using a WRT54GL with tomato firmware. I've DHCP server enabled and the WANtype is DHCP.
