I attach my PlayOnHD via USB to my PC. My PC runs 64bit Win7. My YAMJ is in C:\YAMJ. The attached drive comes up as F:. I run the GUI utility to set up the CMD file for my source and destination. I run the CMD file and it scans my movies folder. First time I run it takes 20 minutes to identify my movies (about 270 in all). It creates a folder F:\movies\Jukebox which contains all the XML, JPG and PNG stuff. It places an index.htm in the F:\movies folder. Running the CMD file again just updates any movies I've changed or added so it only takes seconds. I have not altered any of the distribution files. I detach my PlayOnHD from my PC. Booting the PlayOnHD and choosing the Jukebox and select to scan my drive for new content. This takes about 10 minutes. My questions are ... 1) this all seems to be OK to me but why do you say the jukebox folder should be in root of the drive? 2) Why do others report a problem finding index.htm, I have to tell PlayOnHD where it is each time but then select not to re scan so it runs the jukebox after only a few seconds. My images and music folders are empty. Thanks for the re-assurance.  Since that works, can I then have more than one jukebox on internal and external and switch between them? I thought there would be a conflict between the cache PlayOnHD keeps for the jukebox. I have all my normal movies on internal HDD and all animation, documentaries and TV series on external HDD, it would be nice to select a library (movie/animation/documentary/series) and then browse that libraries content in the jukebox.

It will be picked up AFTER the skin.properties file, so anything it contains will overwrite the values, exactly like the moviejukebox.properties file. Because YOU create this file, it won't be overwritten when you copy a new skin or new YAMJ release over the top of your current installation. Hopefully making it easier to upgrade just downloaded the r1582, and the skin-user.properties worked perfect, just renamed the old one to skin-user.properties in the same skin folder, then i unpacked the new yamj, and let it overwrite all, then i changed nothing and just let it scan the same folder again, and the skin-user.properties was indeed loaded after the skin.properties in the command box in windows. Just some questions...
If I good understand the limitation (first know issues below), if I have more than 20 folders and more than 29 sub folders the YAMJ jukebox will not work.
Can you confirm that it is always the case with the last firmware version ?
If yes, how do you classify your movie on your HD, because for me I have a folder by movie all in the same directory like this :
/movies
/movies/film1
/movie/film2
...

LIMITATION :
The first known issues:
1. File names for movies with more then 62 characters result in a crash (solved on 07-02-2010)
2. More then 20 sub folders result in a crash.
3. No network support. (solved on 07-02-2010)
4. If you have more then 29 folders in a folder on the Playon!HD somewhere,
the Playon!HD keep searching for the index.htm file and will not find it.

Re: [How to] use and setup the YAMJ trial version. I just setup my POHD and upgraded the firmware to the latest beta in order to start using YAMJ. I have not yet installed a harddrive in the POHD as I do not have a spare SATA drive at the moment. All of my movies are stored on a NAS. I followed the guide on this thread step by step and saved my index to the NAS. When I go to the movie jokebox menu I see the movies I have, plus some I have never heard of(any idea how those appeared?) but when I try to play one it gives me a message saying something like unable to find the file (can't read the entire message).
Do I need an internal drive in the POHD to get this to work? If not, what am I doing wrong?
