It looks like you don't have space anymore. What 'df -h' shows you?

Mikka, this is what i get: [root@PlayonHD ~]# df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on rootfs 90M 72M 18M 80% / /dev/root 90M 72M 18M 80% / /dev/mtdblock/2 8.0M 1.4M 6.7M 17% /usr/local/etc /dev/rd/0 40K 40K 0 100% /mnt/rd /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part1 932G 289G 643G 31% /tmp/hdd/volumes/HDD1 /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/part3 152M 147M 0 100% /tmp/hdd/root so indeed it looks like it could be a space issue. I don't have much linux knowledge, but how can I free up space? As you can see the total drive space is 1TB of which only 31% used. Thanks in advance.

... so i deleted some of the directories. Now I don't get the same eroor anymore, if I do a 'start' it looks like its starting ok but still it's not running. Anymore tips before I just forget about this whole transmission thing and go back to azureus?
[root@PlayonHD home]# service transmission start Start service "transmission" (/opt/etc/init.d/S90transmission) service: Start service: "transmission" (/opt/etc/init.d/S90transmission) Starting Torrent client: transmission-daemon [root@PlayonHD home]# service transmission transmission-daemon is not running [root@PlayonHD home]#

Re: [HOW TO] install optware and get transmission, twonky
Hi Mikka, I really appreciate your help so far. I just thought I gave it another shot....... But apparantly I deleted something last night I shouldn't have had, now I don't see any of the directories on my internal HDD. I thought I couldn't do much wrong deleting in the directory you mentioned, but apperantly I could.
Any ideas on how to get my files/folder back? I can not access the from windows anymore and from the PlayOn browser under HDD, its blank.
df command still shows that 300Gig of my 1TB disk is in use so the data is still there. I tried reinstalling firmware but without result. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

reinstall firmware... Your box is now depending on optware and may be missing some of the stuff This will disable optware.
Then re-install ryanopt.

Re: [HOW TO] install optware and get transmission, twonky
Hello, I hope this is the right place for this post. I'm thinking about buying an AC Ryan PlayOn! HD with hard disk. But I want to make sure that it is possible to control the system via my netbook or pc. I've read a lot about optware. And found out that there are a lot of packages to install: list. At the bottom I found: "NOTE: The complete package list is available at http://ipkg.nslu2-linux.org/feeds/optware/nslu2/. In there I saw: libvncserver_0.9.1-2_armeb.ipkDoes this mean I would be able to install this VNC-server package and remote connect via vnc to play music? Bart

amorua wrote: to Vonck: Well, now I at least know it is possible. I don't mind it being a bit of a challenge Do you know anything about NFS on Playon!HD? (see my previous post). Hello, I'm looking for some informations, too. I saw that nfs-utils must be installed instead unfs3. If I just want to browse my POHD from my PC (Ubuntu 10.04) what shall I install ? optware ? nfs-utils ? How can I do without installing all the stuff I don't need ? My POHD is under the last official beta release. Greetings.

Re: [HOW TO] install optware and get transmission, twonky
Hiya, Am attempting to install sftp-server by replicating stuff from the optware install script, managed to install zlib, openssl and openssh-sftp-server...unfortunately I can't seem to execute the binary. /opt/libexec # ./sftp-server -sh: ./sftp-server: not found Any hints to what I'm doing wrong would be much appreciated
