Post Is there an official Roadmap regarding firmware development?
The title says it all. Are there still firmware releases on SDK3.x planned to be released? From what I've heard is that the new SDK4.x is much more stable so why not stop the development of firmwares based on SDK3.x and focussing on the SDK4.x?
Second Question: How about the YAMJ implementation. Is it realistic to expect a stable 4.x firmware with YAMJ fully implemented before Christmas 2010?

kind regards

Yes, there is a new platform, which at this present moment, I can't disclose any information on this new platform.

r4415 / r4368 is based on SDK3.X. Mainly audio package isn't much improved yet. Thus another main reason why we are quite quiet for the past few weeks as we are testing on the new platform. Our development team has received the new platform from Realtek and had compiled an ultra streamlined firmware for us to test on the audio improvements that this platform offered us. We are quite happy with the results and they are pretty much stable compared to previous platforms but of cause every platform has new and weird bugs. Thus our development team would require more time to fully digest the changes and the new codes of this platform.

When the times comes, I will try to release more information to the public if possible. Till then... I have to keep quiet on this platform.

;)
