 solved with new modem
Hello all,
I got the new Acryan HD2 with a wireless original Acryan dongle. Network scan is perfect but as soon as i want to connect the test keeps failing. Latest original firmware r5440. Changed every security setting in de wireless router which is a Frtizbox170 Annex A. Even tried an open network but no luck.
On my old Acryan HD1 i used the same dongle with one of the latest firmware and i had no problem of what so ever connection to my network.
Anyone got a clue of what it can be?
Thanks

Re: Wireless network "test keep failing" even with no securi
Type 192.168.0.1 into your internet browser and log into your router. Check to see what frequency the router is running at. i believe 5ghz is better than 2.4ghz but it might be worth checking that the a.c ryan doesn't require you to run at 2.4ghz. Personally i use home plugs to run the internet through the house mains as its faster and more reliable the wireless.
Also another thing that may help but might not completely solve the problem is to change what channel your wireless internet is on. most people end up sharing the same channel which can slow down your wireless, i moved from channel 1 to channel 5 and saw quite a significant difference in reliability and speed.

Re: Wireless network "test keep failing" even with no securi
Hello! Thanks for the answer but, I tried switching channels already. My router has got a build-in function which lets you see who is on which channel. I changed to a free channel but no luck the test keeps failing.
The strange thing is that i dint had any problems with tth HD1 using the same config.
Anyone?

 Re: solved with new modem
The AC Ryan USB wireless dongle won't see a 5GHz channel so you need to leave your router in 2.4MHz, with settings for the channel on Auto. I remarked a few hickups when the wireless was set to Wide mode. I left all the options on my router on Auto. Hope this helps...
Same as Will, I switched to power line. Not fantastic as I'm getting 25 to 35mbps on so called "500 Mbps adapters" but its a lot more stable and consistent than wireless. And I can setup a fixed IP address....
