Hi guys,

this is my first post here.

I downloaded the latest firmware version and followed the instructions to install it:

1. copy the 2 zip files to the root of a USB
2. go to settings > misc > update and point to the correct path
3. It says are you sure you want to update to v.1.0.927 (by memory), so it recognizes the new version correctly. I click Yes.
Then it restarts and seems to be doing something, but at some point it just shows an Yellow Exclamation mark for a second and restarts again. Then it just starts normally and when I go to check the version - it is still the old one (1.0.627 if I remember correctly).

I tried with both English and Asian languages - the same result.
I also tested if the downloaded files are corrupt - they are not - I can extract them without errors.

What could be the problem? Any ideas what else to try?

First of all sorry for any inconvenience. We would like to check from you which firmware version you have downloaded? Our first firmware version is 627 which you are using now then the latest current one is 932. If you will upgrade and selected USB, it should prompt you with version 932.

If you confirm that you have firmware version 932 in the root directory of your USB and it still cannot be install then you can try the recovery type of installation, please see below.

RECOVERY UPGRADE method:
1. Copy both files in the downloaded package, “update_app.zip” and “update_system.zip” to the root
directory of a USB flash drive and connect it to any USB host port of VEOLO.
2. Switch off the main power to the unit.
3. Press and hold the power button on the side of the unit.
4. Switch on the main power.
5. Release the power button when the upgrading process begins on your display in a moment.
6. During upgrading it is common for the unit to reboot once or more.

Ok, tried the recovery mode, but the same problem occurs.
I've recorded a short video (30sec) so that you can see that after the initial boot, it tries to enter the upgrade mode, but suddenly there is an Exclamation Mark and an instant reboot.
After that it just starts and loads normally, without attempting to upgrade.

You can try using earlier firmware version that you can download from the link below. Do use the same steps for recovery. Please note that if the said suggestion still did not work then last option is that you have to bring the unit back to your vendor or send it to our service center. Sorry for any inconvenience.

It doesn't work with this version either, Roger.
