can you tell me how veolo will access audio, video files in my windows server machine?
I need to know before buying the Veolo, which looks fabulous.
My server is XP and quite old. I recently tried a streaming device which used DLNA via Windows media player. Setting DLNA on in WMP resulted in a runaway process which took 100% of my server resource and needed a restart after 5 mins. Had to return the streaming device, I'm hoping the Veolo has a highly efficient way of accessing files in a server over a LAN

it conect to windows via SMBA. it is the same as connecting form windows to windows in explorer

The default protocol used is the already mentioned Windows own SAMBA protocol. You simply share your files/folder that you want to access over the network.

You can also use NFS (out of the box) or DLNA/UPNP with the correct apps, so you can basically communicate however you want with your Windows XP PC. We have put out some of these apps in our 'share applications and widgets' section here on our forums.
