Hi there.
I want to watch streaming sites such as BBC iplayer on my tv. I got a AC Ryan Playon HD, a laptop with windows 7 and a plasma tv. It isn't possible to connect the laptop directly to my tv, the laptop lacks a HDMI-port. Tried various converters but they either didn't work or the result was appalling.

So I'm looking for a another solution, got a tip via google about xbmc. I wonder if it is possible to install xmbc on my laptop, use a add-on that allows me to watch iplayer on my laptop, stream this to the tv through my Playon HD?

If so, how do I go about it, the part of installing xbmc in the laptop seems straightforward but how do I setup my network connection and the Playon HD. I use broadband modem with a builtin router. The laptop and the Playon Hd is connected via Ethernet cable to the router.
Any help is much appreciated.

As far as I am aware you can't stream to the TV through the player via this method.
The player is primarily aimed at playing files on the hard drive, network share or UPNP server
