Why are the playonhd products discontinued with a faulty hardware? is this the european business model?

Hi,

The Playon!HD series is already more than 3 years old and unfortunately we work with a closed SDK that is not supported by our hardware manufacturer anymore. I'm not sure if this explain a lot to you, but there is nothing more we can say as this is the main point, we can't update the firmwares extensively due to this.

In general the best firmware for the Playon!HD series according to original specifications would be r.4824.

But, I think that you still offer this "faulty" product.
I have bougtht my Playon!DVRHD before 11 months. I could not imagine that I am responsible for your choice of hardware manufacturer. It is shameful for AC Ryan that a product still in warranty, a product still sold and advertised by the company, has no longer support.
It is recommended as a "good" firmware an old one with a lot of problems.
Probably a good business model. Definitely indifference and deceit by AC Ryan

i got my hd mini in April and it had according to them a hardware fault and that i should send it in for RMA

that was almost 3 months ago now and still not got a replacement or my unit fixed :think:

First, I'm sorry for your inconvenience and why did you not contact us after 10 days?
