I'm in the process of modding a Lian-Li PC-B25F case to include 2 x 140mm intake fans on the side panel. I have found a side panel that will do this, but I have to find a way to dampen the noise from the fans (I use this computer to record bands).

So, to do this I'll need:
* A Lian-Li W-LM2AB-5 Left-Panel
* A.C. Ryan AluPanel (1mm?)
* (AcoustiPack Damping Material

... and that's all I've figure out so far. I haven't done a mod before, but I would like to somehow make a shield to cover the fans and direct the noise towards the back of the case. I have a few ideas about how to do it (taken from the iStarUSA Anti-noise Cover Shield and the Antec P193), but I lack the know-how needed to pull it off.

Some theory:
* Use the existing fan holes to attach the cover to the case (using silicon strips to reduce vibration). This may or may not make it easier to attach depending on how it comes out.
* Actually attach the cover to the side-panel somehow (weld, rivets, strong adhesive?). This would be a bit more seamless, but I have no idea how to attach things to aluminum. Ideas anyone?

Anyway, if anyone has any insight about this project, I would be more than happy to hear your input.

anything u do is good but only one point you have to take care of for noise reduction !!!

try to use plastic connectors instead of screws and filter covers on the inside of the computer 1!!!
