I purchased a playon hd mini 2 and the ac ryan wireless mini keyboard about 6 months ago. I've been updating the firmware, today I installed the 2 july release.

There's one very big disappointment with the keyboard that, well, to be honest, completely ruins my experience with this product and the player in general. It's something very trivial and kind of unbelievable in this day and age: the spacebar is not working!

It's impossible to search for youtube videos, or entering anything else that contains spaces!

I sincerely hope this will be fixed in the next firmware. It's otherwise such a nice media player, but it's just too much a hassle using it now, so it's mainly been collecting dust....

Good day,

your results are actually correct. Some of the functions will not work in the main setup menu and services. This keyboard was made to support/work with the HTML5 environment. This means all keys will work in facebook/twitter/youtubeXL for example.
If you are using the virutal text console in the other sections you can still use the navigational arrows to manually select the space sign. Unfortunately there is no way to fix how this works.
As workaround for you of course you could use YoutubeXL.
