we'd like to share a new tv/video streaming app with you which is very popular here in the Netherlands. Many have been waiting for this and finally an Android app has become available which works very nicely on our VEOLO.

NOTE: please be aware that the standard built-in video player does not support the streaming playback that is needed to get this app working. We recommend to use MX Video Player for that so when opening a stream instead of 'movies' or 'es movie player' you choose the 'MX VIDEO PLAYER' once you have it installed.

I tried this and indeed uitzending gemist works. Initially, only with a really bad resolution image, but after tweaking some setting (3g, high bandwidth) that was okay.

However, every so many minutes the playback stops, and after clicking once or twice the video player disappears. This happened several times with different programs. I installed another videoplayer that could handle this app, and that one had the same problem. Am I the only one having this problem? The bandwidth can not be the problem, since I use pps hd with much higher resolution videos.

Have noted this as well here at a friends place who has a 16mbit connection. Changing the stream quality to 'normal' resolved this issue. I think the streams break after a while on the highest setting. However at my place (120mbit) i don't have this also on highest quality.
I guess this might be provider/location/speed related.
So basically to workaround try lowering the quality of the stream and check if the problem still persists.

I found out that using the mediaplayer that comes with pptv hd, solves this problem. Apparently, this player is more stable than the others I have tried. So, I can now enjoy 'uitzending gemist' in the highest resolution.

can anyone tell me why there's a delay between the video and sound?
It's annoying...

I've noticed this in general if you have for instance 2x audio output apps / software running at the same time. For instance if you are playing music and then pause this, then open up any video app/software and it will not work / be delayed in the video audio.

If this is the case for you, stop the apps in the background. If this is not the case for you, let us know in details what you mean and how you are connected and what firmware you are using.

I tested the mx video player to day a bit hard...

I played a mkv of 25 gb over the network..

And what it also has the codec for dts-hd-ma..

Never knew that android could run this high quallity of audio.

So finnally the veolo is working like a real mediaplayer.

Some One test this One ? Gemist it cals at the Android market it had Veronica gemist , RTL gemist , 1 w 3 gemist and SBS6 gemist. This Ine Works on my mobile . I hope fore you also on the veolo. I hope that it whas a good tip.
