I just got my Veolo on Monday and I'm very happy with the product, however I have a problem with the sound.

When the setting is on HDMI and SPDIF I only get sound through HDMI
When the setting is on SPDIF only, I still only get sound through HDMI

Changing output mode does not help. I have tried several players and apps on the Veolo and also with the browser, none of them give me sound through SPDIF.

I have tested the receiver and cables with other sources and the setup works fine, it's just SPDIF from the Veolo that doesn't work.

Firmware version is currently 932. Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm not to keen on buying a new receiver with HDMI....

Currently the player status for both audio setup is that it will output the sound for HDMI and SPDIF at the same time. For your case, as you confirmed that the amp, cables are working fine and if playback of simple MP3 file cannot be produce by SPDIF then it might be that there is something wrong with your player. If you're playing a movie file with a multi channel audio then the audio output mode should be always under pass-through.

Went trough my setup again, and long story short... this was caused by a signal splitter that I forgot was present

Removed it and everything works great!
