[HOW-TO] use YAMJ together with a NAS
Things you need:z4root
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833953CIFS manager (get it from GooglePlay)
USB stick
How-to:Install z4root and run it
Reboot Veolo
Install CIFS manager and open it
In first line type the IP of your NAS (192.168.x.xxx)
You can specify
one share/folder (/Volume_1).
Suppose your files/movies are on a folder further down, i.e. /Volume_1/movies,
you can
NOT specify the full path, remember:
Just One Folder.Second line (/mnt/sda/sda1/NAS) is the mount point (the location and directory name in Veolo).
Sda1 will specify the USB port on the back side, sda2 the USB port on the left side.
NAS (or whatever name you us) will be the name of the directory on the USB stick. This directory
will be created automatically.
Type user name as well as password in the corresponding lines and save the share.
Even though that you can setup “Automount” in the options, it doesn´t work. So after turning off
the Veolo and turning on again you have to open CIFS manager and mount again (just 3 clicks).
Start YAMJ GUI Config on your PC.
First line: click “Select Dir” and point to the directory on the USB stick inside the Veolo.
You will find the additional subdirs under i.e. NAS (or whatever filename you used), here: movie.
Tick “Jukebox only for my PC”.
Overwrite “NMT Path: ….” With
File:///mnt/sda/sda1/NAS/movie (instead “NAS” use the filename you set up; instead “movie” use the
subdir name where your files are stored).
Click “Select Dir” and point to the Root of the USB stick (\\VEOLO-00C30E\share\USB\D)
Click “Add” (you can leave the input line empty) and then “OK”.
Click “Save” and point to the YAMJ install directory on your PC.
Start “My_YAMJ.cmd” on your PC.
Make sure that you have enough beer while the jukebox will be generated on the USB stick
(in my case it took 10 hours for 2100 movies).
Open your browser in Veolo and type following address:
file:///mnt/sda/sda1/index.htm(make a bookmark for easy access later on)
ENJOY
