hi all i recently returned my play on dvr hd for warranty issues
before doing so i removed my internal HDD, today i recieved my replacement unit.
Being aware that i may be prompted to format my hdd when i put the HDD back in to the new unit i attempted to connect to hdd to my pc to copy files off.
My PC asked me to format the drive when i connected it, naturally i didnt.. but i cant see any files on the drive I tried to connect it to the play on dvr.. again, asked for format
i Have huge amounts of data on this drive..... im praying i have no lost it!!
please any advise would be appreciated

 Re: HDD files missing?
Hello, If you plugged the hard drive to your PC and it wants to format then you can try to run a chkdsk with Windows to see if this would recover it? If you can't fix your hard drive with Windows you could try this free home edition software -> http://www.partitionwizard.com/help/par ... overy.htmlI hope you can recover your hard drive. Br,
