Hello guys, i need to get help solving this problem. Here is my issue:


I have POHD2 connected with HDMI cable to my Samsung Plasma 46. Then an optical cable is used to connect my POHD2 to my home theater. My home theater system is Samsung TX-500
I play alot of MKV files on it which it handles perfectly. That is the format i use whenever i wanna watch movies. But when i want to watch HD trailers, i often download them from website which have the files as MOV file. It plays the file without any problem, but for some reason i only get the Audio of this file from my TV not from my home theater, without me doing anything with the settings. I assume it got something to do with the audio that MOV file has which for some reason is not given to the home theater but instead to the TV. the audio part of that MOV file is ACC i guess, and i have even tried converting that MOV file to MKV with MP3 audio but still it isnt playing. Can anyobody please help me with it?

Another question i have is regarding YAMJB, is it already installed on my POHD2 out of the box? or do i have to install it manually. If so, please provide me with a proper "how to" link. Thanks

It's possible that the audio format is not pass thru spdif because the file got a hd audio format

Like Dts-hdmaster or another hd audio format .

These formats can only be played thru hdmi or downmixed to stereo thru the analogue aoutputs.

hmmm, so what do u suggest for watching HD quality trailers? where can i watch them? Youtube on my POHD wont show anything in 1080 and neither is its sound delivered to my home theater i guess. Any suggestions?

Hd sound passthru is ony possible thru hdmi.

Your surround set does not support Hd-audio so thats the reason your set is not playing it.


You could try to play arround with the audio settings to see wich setting works best for you.
Because in general it should me downmixed over spdif
