I am reverting back two steps to v9.5.5.r5440, really disappointed again and very sad to lose the new subtitle setting memory.

As posted under last beta discussion, new problems with that release persist:

  • USB 2.5" HDD undergoes whiney 'hard' shutdown every time unit is powered off, like when the plug is pulled. This is very nasty, and same whether 'Eject' is used or not. Please fix this!
  • Moving files or folders via the Edit function to another location on same drive now causes unit to crash almost every time I've tried it (small jpeg files seem OK?, but not movie files/folders).
  • Numeric 'Go To' entry is flaky - often can't enter second digit: For example, 'Go to 34 mins' becomes 'Go to 3 mins'.

Old problem still not fixed:
  • Larger files, and some smaller ones at 23.976fps are not output at 24fps. Problematic files often claimed to be '23.99'fps under the 'Info' on-screen readout.

Hello,

You seem to have the copy protection still left in this file.

If you want to play this file with our product you would have to remove it. We can't fix this on our side.

Hi

Compared to the recent beta the problem reported about thumbnails still exist.

Would it be possible to add a browser - so one can stream videos from the internet on the TV ?

Thx
Steen

Hello,

The Thumbnail bug is known.

The hardware is not sufficient enough to run a full browser + flash + java + silverlight etc. We have included webkit lite due to this reason.

Can anyone confirm that the TELNET access does not work with the r7317 firmware (I think Mikaels note concerns an older firmware.

Note: If you have downloaded this firmware before 13CET today from our official support site, you will not have telnet access. If this is something you require, please re-download the firmware for a fix.

I have tried Putty, Microsoft Telnet session and another Telnet program I use at work but I can not connect. However the AC Ryan answers when sending PING to the unit.
I use port 1024 (example 192.168.0.116:1024). Is that OK.

Best Regards

Anders

Hello,

If you don't have telnet access. Please re download and install the firmware again.

If still not working? Please let us know.

All reports indicate that this is working currently.

@ Everyone,

As reported in r6629, internal vobsubs in .mkv files are still a issue with this firmware. Reported, but no fix at this point.

Hey there,

I've encountered something that forces me to roll back.
I also found a similar reply from another user in this thread, but since there was no response to him, i thought i would mention it again.
The unit isn't shutting down when using the remote or the power button on the device. First time i've stumbled upon this, very weird.

Still the jukebox does not work for me, the player reboots shortly after "refreshing". Also why does it not work with NFS ?
To connect to a NFS Server you add a server and not a client, please fix that text.

@ Everyone

Update - 07-02-2012: We have replaced this firmware v9.5.5.r7317 with a new revision that fixes the Thumbnail view (distorted image) issue, so you can view your folders with 'Thumbnail view'. If you with your remote control go to 'Setup > Misc > Version info' and check the 'Compiled at' date. If it does not say: Feb 07 - 2012 - you will not have the updated version. Simply re-download and flash this firmware again to have this fixed.

Thanks to our development team for this quick fix!
