If i turn on the the printer, the NAS link in My Shortcuts will open the printers storage option, (i've reserved ip addresses for all my devices so its not an ip address problem) I have exactly the same problem with my NAS and Canon wireless printer. I have reserved IP addresses for my NAS and printer with my NAS being 192.168.1.100 and my printer 192.168.1.105. Sometimes when I click on the shortcut for my NAS is shows the correct link and IP address ending .100 but it accesses the Canon printer instead. At first I thought I was going crazy ya mine is canon as well..

please, Please, Please would it be possible to move the X/Y variable zoom selection to be the first or second item on the list when the Zoom is selected. I am watching four whole series of the Lexx and every single episode I have to press the zoom button 8 times to get to the xy setting to set up the picture to fit the screen without losing large areas of the image.

Like I said earlier, I don't get the problem with my Windows 2008 Server, but I did get a similar issue with my Netgear NAS. Another one would be, once the Mini2 has rebooted can you then access the NAS successfully? If so, do you have a drive-spindown/power saving option enabled on the NAS? That was the problem when using my Netgear, although I only really noticed it if I paused a movie for any length of time. Setting the disk spindown option to an hour or so stopped it happening, which made me think that the Mini 2 had either too short a timeout or a bug in the Samba client. Ray Von No spindown here, when testing the NAS is alive and working. Weird thing with the shortcut is that it first says 'logon successful' and then reboots. Will see if the logs have anything to say and if I can play with the samba client somewhat to make it connect faster. But I do sense it's something with a linux NAS, ac ryan might not have one in their test-center, that is if they do have one at all

It's not slow with me, movies play without a hickup and going through my library is pretty painless if u ask me... It takes couple or minutes to browse NAS folders. Even flipping between the directories on NAS is very slow. My NAS and POHD mini 2 are connected via wire on gigabit port. NAS is definitely faster as I use it via pc and never had any speed problem. Any suggestion to fix this would be appreciate.

i just bought the mini2 and it came with the v9.5.5.r2073 firmware. at first i checked the network speed and i was very surprised up to 90000 kibts. My playOnHD just up to 20000 kibts.
then I'm full of anticipation made an update to the latest firmware but unfortunately I was ordered to determine the same movie only have a speed of max. 30,000 kibts.

Yeah where and how did you test it, if i got like 10.000 i would be a happy man. This is the one thing that disapoint me the most, i got cat 6 cables, gigabit network in my computer all my network is gigabit, and gigabit in the Mini 2 but fuck the transfer speed realy fecking sucks donkey balls. To the extend that i serious doubt that it is a gigabit in the mini2, my guess is a 10 Mbit not a 1000Mbit.

at the upper edge of the picture appears the networkspeed. you must stream the movie over the network directory not over NAS. Speed for NAS will not be displayed. anyway NAS is very slow.
I'm using FreeNAS and it is very easy to monitor the network perfomence.

I'm using FreeNAS and it is very easy to monitor the network perfomence. You can't rely on the speed indicator on the Mini2. Mine frequently shows speeds of over 100Mb/s, but my switch shows the peak is more like 65Mb/s Ray Von

1) Server running Windows 7 and no reboots
2) Yup, the speed indication is a complete waste of time. Mine shows a different speed every time I play a media file despite being on a wired gigabit connection.
