Post 2 weird remote control problems
Heey people,

Just bought my Playon HD2. Im very happy with it, works very well:) Although I do have a problem, two actually.

1. I tried to remove a video I placed on my HDD. So I pressed the edit-button (when I was in file manager), it gave this little cross in the top left of my screen saying it's not possible. I thought it was weird, so I tried pressing some other buttons. When I clicked the 'Confirm'-button, I got the little interface where I had the option to remove it. How come that the buttons have different functions from what they should have? A good friend of mine has the same mediaplayer and his remote works correctly.

2. The second problem is weird and I don't think you'll be able to solve it, but anyway: When the mediaplayer is turned off and I wanna watch TV, I grab the remote of the Digital Receiver (from Humax, provided by Ziggo Netherlands) and when I turn it on, I ALSO turn on de AC Ryan mediaplayer. Somehow it reacts to that button. When I press it again (to turn the digital receiver off), it won't respond. So it only works when it's turned off (I think).

So I find it very strange and quite a bit annoying as well. I just bought it and I installed the latest firmware so I expected everything to run smoothly :(.

I just discovered another problem.

Apparently it's normal that when you turn off your mediaplayer, you only see the red powerled in the middle. In my case, I always see it completely turned off (no light) of the white circle light. I only have the red powerled when I completely unplug the mediaplayer from the powersupply and plug it in again.

How come?:(

Hi, please see my answers below.

There are some area where the "edit" and "confirm" button works the same. But please do check again as many are confused when pressing the edit button they are actually not pressing the correct one. Edit button is the "black" button on top of the blue button and not the "blue" button. If in case it does not work then you are entitled to change your remote.

The signal or the code for "ON" button must be the same, in this case there is nothing we can do about it.

When the set is ON the circle white light will show, if you put it on stand by mode the white light should turn off and Red light at the center should appear. If this is disturbing to you and affecting the set performance then I would suggest to contact your vendor on how to get a replacement.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Thanks for you answers.

The remote problem was me being stupid, so the remote works okay ;)

The white light isnt disturbing to me, but I think there might be a relation between the not-going-to-standby-problem and the fact that I can turn it on with the remote of the digital receiver.

I just have a feeling the ACR isn't completely going in to standby mode, cause the white light is burning. When I unplug power and plug it in again, I do get the red standby-LED, but I'm not able to power it on with the remote. Only manually pressing the button.

Should I contact the store I bought it from or is there a solution? Cause if there's no solution I want another one.

Thanks.

Hi, you might want to try flashing or reinstalling the firmware first and test again. If it still gave you the same result then we can suggest that you contact your vendor for them to check and for you to know on how to get a replacement. Sorry for any inconvenience.
