Post Youtube problem !!
Hello,

It is very frustrating that the playon mini2 still have problems to play all
the video's from Youtube. Can there be an update very soon so these
bugs are fixed. In Youtube XL there is no problem, but in this mode I can't
fast forward/rewind a video. So my choice is Youtube normal mode.
How much patience must we have. I paid for a product and expecting that
this product does what it promises. (sorry for my bad English...)
Please solve the problem soon !!!!!!

Frank

Did you pay YouTube for changing their API?

One reason for having a firmware that can be updated is for cases like these. AC Ryan cannot expect Youtube to work as is has for years and years, things tend to change. All of the Youtube functionality is in RSS files, so no help from Realtek should be needed to update the way the player connects with Youtube. Youtube XL still works, so no big changes are needed.
What I don't get is why AC Ryan and the developers need ages to fix this. According to Mikael this was reported over a month ago! This really should be solved within a week and all users would be happy. Who is in charge, the developers or AC Ryan? Modded firmwares with improved YAMJ support were made as well, so why no Youtube update? At least give users the encryption key for the RSS files so they can come up with a solution themselves.

Nothing. YouTube changed its interface and AC Ryan has not yet adapted the firmware.

I don't think Youtube is the problem here.
If AC RYAN mini 2 can play the video's without problems in Youtube XL, why
can it not play in the normal Youtube mode with fast forward and rewind functions ?????

How long does it takes before it is fixed !!!!!! My patience is decreasing !!!
Come on guys !!!!

Youtube is the problem, as mentioned several times they changed the API which broke lots of 3rd party players.

The good news is, if you check the firmware forums, it appears to have been fixed.
