low transfer rate using samba + external usb HDD
I have the latest version. . both my laptop and POHD are connected to the router via Ethernet cabel but when I copy files from my laptop to the HDD (connected via USB to POHD) the transfer rate is so poor! about 200 kb/s. is that make any sense? maybe I did something wrong?
EDIT: I tried to copy from 2 PCs at the same time to the HDD connected to my POHD and for both the rate was about 200 kb/s and i guess that a third PC will do the same (about 200 kb/s each at the same time). so why can't ONE transfer more than 200 kb/s? my network speed is 10 Mbit/s

Re: low transfer rate using samba + external usb HDD
Nope....
Because:-
A. This device is discontinued. B. AC Ryan Europe has gone bankrupt C. All Realtek chipset based players such as this have always had a problem with network transfer speeds and the NTFS drivers. D. A 10Meg LAN is a POS anyway.
Suggest you only do transfers via connection via USB to your PC's otherewise you are asking for trouble.
