 subtitle question / hi10p x264
Hi,
today i got my mini2, connected it to a projector and started playing with the settings and testing the playback.
I saw that in many cases the subtitles can exceed the width of the screen even though the size is 19, anything that can be done for that?
Also it strips the subs from any styles / code, but i think that's what all media players do.
As for hi10p i happily saw that it was supported though in some moments there was huge bleed / artifacts, well pretty much unwatchable.
Looking for any tips / tricks!
ps. I upgraded it to the latest firmware.

Hi,
as for the subtitles there is not much we can do. You can of course try to make them smaller if they for some reason exceed the screen. You could also try using another format by converting the subs via Subtitle Workshop. this is a free software. What kind of subtitle format are you using now?
The HiProfile rips 'can' work but mostly you will get artifacts as the chipset is not powerfull enough to get this decoded. This happens on all Media Players as far as i know since none is capable of this heavy format. Also here we cannot improve so i would recommend to skip this format and stick to the ones that are working / officially supported.
br,
