Post rebooting
Hi
Can anyone help me out
i am new to this type of thing
my Playon 73100 has just gone haywire
when i start it up it goes to the start up logo
then just keeps rebooting
this happens with a hard drive in or not
to switch it off the only way is to pull the plug
i have never changed the firmware since i bought the unit
when i connect it to a pc and switch it on it hangs on the logo screen and dosn't reboot
the pc sees the hard drive ok
most of the folders are empty
but the pc says that 45gig of the hard drive is used
i am not very conversent with some of the terms used in the forum
have you any ideas for me to try and cure this problem
many thanks
jezzer

Two actions:

1. Error check the hard disk of your Playon with your PC: attach the Playon to the PC with the USB cable, in the Windows Explorer right click on the drive letter of your Playon, select Properties and the tab Extra and erro checking.

2. Execute this recovery procedure to the letter.

You're welcome. You did not write which firmware you had before and the recovery procedure takes you all along to the latest firmware.
If you like the old interface better, install firmware 4824, using the safe method described in the change log. This might also help you to reestablish the USB function of the Playon, but I make no promises.
