I have a Mini2 Playon!HD with a wireless adapter and a laptop connected both on the same wireless router.

What I need to know is how can I play a DVD from the laptop to media player?

What I did is to share the DVD driver of the laptop, I inserted the original DVD and from the media player I accessed the shared folder of the dvd.
There I can see the VOB files and I was trying to play them. At the beginning, the 1st VOB file worked file but when I went to the next one (who actually had the movie) the picture was not clear anymore and there were distortions with the sound and the picture. It could be also because of the dvd protection.

Can someone give me a hint how can I play original dvds using the media player?

use a software like dvddecrypter and/or imgburn to create an .iso file from the dvd. That's the easiest way in my opinion. Just share the folder where you placed that .iso and play it directly with the player. The softwares are available free from web. Just google it
