Post Feature request: mark watched movies
Hi AC Ryan,

Sometimes when you watch TV series, you lose track of the seen episodes (especially when you it start the next episode automatically). The player remembers where you left of, perhaps it would also be nice to mark episodes as "seen" in th file browser. For instance, you could change the color, like you would do with visited urls in Internet Browsers.

I think this would be a usefull addition.

Royco.

Thanks for the suggestions. We actually had this requested earlier but unfortunately this will not be possible on the current platform.
That means we will have to live with how the firmware works at this point.

cheers,

Not strictly true as other compainies using the same chipset and SDK have this feature operational, so it is possible.

I understand.

Something else. Is it easy for home users to make custom firmware? I mean, is the software open source, for example, or is it closed?

The SDK is from Realtek and is not open source. It is possible to modify some things such as the jukebox and add extra features - such as an ftp server, but fixing some of the reported issues would require the code to be open source, which it is not.
