The support of AC Ryan is very bad, I see many complaints here on the forum. Because people will not help in some thread are absolutely no help or answers from the moderators here.

Why is the AC Ryan Playon HD conceived as bad as it is extremely complicated to use him.
Even the menu is all made bad why is because AC Ryan Playon not made easier to use in development.
The software is made very bad why has not taken for all units of the AC Ryan Play On Android software or a better software.
Do the whole operation and Konfiguarationen are too complicated for normal users use the device.

The reason for the many complaints here is the poor design of the AC Ryan Play On. This could have been done much easier. Each Netbook or Mobile Phone are easier to use than this AC Ryan Play On.


Der Support von AC Ryan ist sehr schlecht ich sehe viele Reklamationen hier im Forum. Denn Leuten wird nicht geholfen bei manchen Thread gibts gar keine Hilfe oder Antworten von den Moderatoren hier.

Warum wurde der Ac Ryan Playon HD so schlecht konzipiert das es extrem kompliziert ist ihn zu bedienen.
Schon das ganze Menue ist schlecht gemacht warum hat man denn AC Ryan Playon nicht bediener freundlicher gemacht in der Entwicklung.
Die Software ist schon sehr schlecht gemacht warum hat man nicht für alle Geräte der AC Ryan Play on Android Software oder eine bessere Software genommen.
Die ganzen Bedienungen und Konfiguarationen sind zu kompliziert für normale User die das Gerät bedienen wollen.

Der Grund für die vielen Reklamationen hier ist die schlechte Gestaltung des AC Ryan Play on. Das hätte man viel einfacher machen können. Jeder Netbook oder Mobile Phone sind einfacher zu bedienen als dieser AC Ryan Play on.

we the moderators are just a few and we just can`t answer all the threads,
i could if i would do this the entire day maybe.

but we are volunteers and no employees,
so we do what we can.

besides most unanswered threads are threads about stuff already answered in other threads,

so tell me why is it to much work to search our forum first before asking
a question which has been asked before??

that way we would have more time to answer the questions right?

Sorry i mean not my Thread in the Forum are many Threads who noboday answering. Or one User had to wait until weeks.Read User Hugo he waits for weeks http://www.acryan.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=2183&start=20 and many Threads from other Users they get not one helping Answer.
And why is on the Germany Forum no Mod who can Fluent spoken and written in German? There is one or two who can a bit German but its not his mother tongue.

And again the Machine is the Problem because peoples complaining not the support.

Thats because at the moment there is noone who can reply in good german

well on the german support i can be the one giving a good answer,
acryan hired Arne who speaks fluently german.

I was under the impression i did a good job as well there,
but as i am alone who could write and speak german,
and are unabble to give all the support in three languages,

i find it not so nice to assume from me to spend my complete free time,
just to give support.

what is next? do i have to learn Hongarian, Polish, French and what more.

I speak and write Dutch , Englisch and to some degree German (which is indeed my second language
as i had german Großaltern but i haven`t used it for over 20 jears,
so it is coming back just not as fast as i would like).

But i do my best,
at least now i am happy as also Acryan has a German speaking staff member,
who is already started to give support on the German forum.

don`t forget as i said we are just a few trying to give support in our free time,
to over 14000 users when we started there where no more then 3000 users,
and giving followup was easier then,
now we have almost 5 times more forumusers and less then the half moderators,

plus considering that most don`t like to search,
and therefor start new topics about same issues over and over again,
there is no way for us to keep up that way.

but even then if i speak for me and kraakie as for the others,
we are doing our best.

and being attacked by you is not making us very happy,
especially after reading the reply from Kraakie,
as now i understand you have a customised firmware,
and we just can`t give support on it.

so as Kraakie said, writing the frustration is then not completely nice,
even though you are right about the unanswered topics (in which we surely are also not happy about,
that it came this far.
we would loved to have a bigger moderator team,
but they don`t grow on trees).

besides do you want to give up at least two to three hours each day to do this?
for free just to help others???

we are here to help anyone,
and if some one felt left out they can always send me a PM,
these i answer always, as i do that the first thing i logged in,
but that almost takes me at least an hour each day already on most day`s.

If you can speak English, why didn't you ask question in 'Other developments' forum section? You would get an answer for both non-official features: non-shoutcast radio stream and spinning down disk, but you shouldn't bug moderators/staff as they can provide support only for official features.

I've just read your opinion regarding my how-to: I can agree that without images and detailed instruction of installing MediaTomb it's not user-friendly, but I'm certainly not going to write anything in German.

BTW: For your radio station (http://stream.srg-ssr.ch/drs1/mp3_128.m3u) you don't even need MediaTomb, just add few lines to RSS feeds.
